A Quick Note

Work: *Attended the meeting for Bloodbourne Pathogens. It was entertaining to know I wasn't the only one laughing at the cheesy video. But holy awkward situation, I had to introduce myself to the entire room of staff. Luckily I'm not one who completely says away from a big crowd. *Worked on the game/song book for work today. Eventually one day I will finish!!

Plans: *I ended up cooking dinner tonight, but the bonus was that I didn't have to pay for it. It was Becky's night, but she wanted me to make it cause I knew what I was doing. Everyone enjoyed the meal, and each went back in search for seconds... only one person got seconds though. But it's a positive that everyone wanted more! * I hate paying bills. :( They take all my money.

Random: * My Da called me today to warn me of the bad weather headed in this direction. Something like softball sized hail, luckily we didn't get it! *Mom called me later tonight to tell me she had to head down to the "creepy" hallway at RCTC because of the tornado sirens went off twice, and the power went out once. She called to see what the weather was like down here, and found out it just rained all day... And Da was worried about here... * I want some orange soda, but it's too late for me to have sugar if I intend to sleep tonight.

Misbehavior Major

Work: *Is there something in the air? The kids are just naughty. My boss had me come into work later than earlier scheduled today because the Lead's were leaving the site to have a meeting over lunch and do some work at all of the other sites. It was a bum that the Lead's went to Perkin's for their lunch meeting, it sounded really yummy at the time compared to the packed lunch I was eating with the kids. But while the Lead's were gone I got to work with some really fun staff! Kudos to Kinsey, Jodi, Amanda and Amber!! And yet, the kids were just holy terrors, throwing fits, not listening, behavior problems and constantly talking. By the time the Lead's got back I had to leave, I needed some time away from them. It's been about 3 consecutive days of naughty kids. *Not looking forward to the staff training I must attend tomorrow for my new job coming up. Ooh, the fun of watching a video on Blood Bourne Pathogens! Yippee!! It's not like I had to go through this last year or anything. I think I'm going to stock up on coffee before I leave the house.

Plans: *Rachel came over and we started packing up Becky, actually they did most of the work, but I chipped in. Becky found a place to live in town and is moving out Friday, while Amanda is moving in Saturday. It's going to be alot of moving. * Tomorrow is CSI Night (the night where friend's get together, cook and have a good time), and Becky is cooking Lemon Pepper Chicken with Rice (along the recipe that my Mom makes!) And then we'll spend our time packing things up for Becky and transporting them from here to there. * Otto's cousin is getting married on Saturday. He has a quartet gig at some state park, so when he finishes he's going to come to Winona and we'll make it in time for the reception. Should be a fun time! * I did something to my room, but in order to find o
ut what I did you must come see me! Mwa ha ha!!

Random: * I love orange soda! Lately it's been my first request, even before root beer. * Jeb and I had ice cream last night and a good talk! YAY!

This is a pic I took while out on a hike with the kids at a State Park this summer!

Pictures

Chicago:
  • Otto, Matt, Christine and I went to C-town for the weekend to catch a Cubs game. Otto and I got into town Friday night, saw some of his relatives and had dinner before crashing at Matt's Grandma's house. Saturday we all had lunch together, then headed down to Michigan Ave to have a look around. Walking along the street we came across millennium Park, the strange silver bean and the huge grassy area where they have concerts and such. Catching a nice dinner we went down to the Navy Pier for Venetian Night. Otto took me to the Build-A-Bear Warehouse and we built a bear named Violet, she wears a Cubs uniform. Sunday basically our entire day was consumed with the game, which they won! They swept the Cardinals!! All-in-all, except for the heat the weekend rocked!

Being Social:
  • Becky, Rachel, Jenny and I hit up the Cities to take a visit to IKEA and make a stop over at the Mall of America! We had a ton of fun all day!!
  • Otto had a group out at his house before the 4th of July to set off fireworks, these are some of the guys taking on a Charlie's Angels pose for the camera with sparklers.
  • Going to Platteville one weekend Otto decided to take me down to Dubuque for the afternoon, so we hung out in an air conditioned coffee house with free internet access!
